Love Accosted

I thought I saw you
in a tree
Your hair was streaked with
gray
and leaves
of red and lips
and chin
like a crag
with the cleft
I could sink my teeth into.
But the eyes were
wrong and looking the other way.

I had to look up accosted, 'To approach and speak to boldly or aggressively.' Strong imagery, including chin like a crag.

So beautiful, Yvonne. What a way you have with written pictures.

Sarahjayne,
Thank you so very very much!

Paul,
Thanks! And what a coincidence...you have a tree. Now I have to go look you up!

Travener,
Ha! I think I just laughed out loud. You're so funny. I only wish. If I could amass all my favorite comments, this one would be close to the top of the heap.

Talli,
Oh! Thank you very much.

Carol,
Thank you. You always leave the most beautiful compliments.

Isn't this just the way of all things that start off so well. We climb them, from the base...determined to succeed, but the peak is often something other than we sought. I thought this was beautiful!
