A Mouth Full Of Stones (Friday Flash 55)

Don’t blast a call to prayer outside my window.
I pray when I want
and drink when I want and sometimes I want.
Our best times involved copious amounts—
me and my Bobby McGee,
hair flowing free
not swaddled in silence
with a mouth full of stones.
Don’t blast a call to prayer outside my window.

I wonder how many of them would remember to pray without needing that racket to remind them? I have issues with scheduling in religion because belief should be 24/7/365, not at appointed times.

Interesting 55.

Just great. Really enjoyed this one and the notion we will pray when we want and drink as we will. Free will is a beautiful thing.

Oh, was that sound a call to prayer? I thought it was Last Call, so I ordered two more.

Cute 55, Yvonne.

Interesting twist also love the copious moments, and the Bobbie Mcgee, strange how it brought up memories of a time long ago of really feeling free, now that seems like an illusion to me.

Beautiful 55er,

joanny
