For The Small People

Firefly,
firefly,
fire
fly for me.
Pelican,
brown pelican
of the Gulf Coast pelicans,
(you were a postcard pelican)
preen once more for me.
BP CEO sail your yacht
on a pristine sea.
For me.

This poem packs a punch. Fantastic. Such a strong message with such an economic use of words.

Don't you wish there really were take-backs, and do-overs, that mistakes could be unmade and words rescinded? You got to the heart of the matter. Lovely!

I'm a blood courier and sometimes drive the coastline here in Louisiana. Words are inadequate to portray the tragedy here.

Your verse touched me,

Suzanne,
Thank you.

Roland,
I have to know what a blood courier is. It sounds like a very important occupation. I'm so glad you joined my blog and commented here. It's nice to have the perspective of one who has been there. Thank you.
